The price vs data war between telecom operators is just getting intense day-by-day. Telcos have been coming up with new plans almost every week with added benefits. Now, Vodafone has come up with a new plan priced at Rs 21 that offers truly unlimited 3G/4G with a validity of one day.
There is, however, a small catch. Despite having one-day validity, the unlimited data that you get is for one hour from the time you recharge. During this one hour, you can use the data to download movies, songs, games or anything else you want. And once the one-hour limit is over, you will have to recharge it again to avail the benefits.
Reliance Jio’s Rs 19 plan, on the other hand, offers 150MB high-speed 4G data with a validity of one day. Once the data limit is hit, you can still continue to browse unlimited just that the speed will be throttled to 64Kbps. What’s more? Unlike Vodafone’s plan, Reliance Jio also offers unlimited voice calls, and 20 free SMS, along with complimentary access to Jio suite of apps.
Clearly, those who want to download a lot of data, Vodafone plan looks idea, whereas for people who want voice and data, Reliance Jio’s Rs 19 plan could be the one to go for. With the ongoing competition, Vodafone had recently revamped its postpaid ‘Red’ plans with up to 50 percent more data among other benefits.
The most basic plan starts at Rs 399, and comes with 20GB 3G / 4G data, unlimited local and national calls, and free incoming and outgoing while in national roaming. The top end plan is priced at Rs 2,999, which offers 300GB data, 200 minutes calling to US, Canada, Hong Kong and other countries, one-year Netflix subscription and unlimited local and national calls, with unlimited roaming.
