A day after kicking starting the World Cup 2014 celebrations with a doodle, Google has put up yet another doodle that revisits the World Cup opening ceremony. The animated doodle replaces the letters ‘L’ and ‘E’ with stick figures reminiscent of the characters from last night’s performance.
The World Cup 2014 opening ceremony took place at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo, ahead of the first match between Brazil and Croatia. The ceremony saw a lot of reference to Brazil’s culture, and was capped off by performances by pop stars Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull, who sang this year’s World Cup 2014 song “We Are One (Ole Ola).”
On Google Doodle’s webpage, the company describes this doodle as, “The World Cup opening ceremony was so inspiring–and what an unbeleafable coincidence–our next doodle has a dancing tree person too. Congrats Brazil!” The search giant has also posted an alternate version of the current doodle, which can be viewed below.
