Good Evening. It’s Happy Friday and it seems the week was really long but not as long as it was for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. A lot happened this week but no story had a value that matched Zuckerberg’s testimony where he confirmed his own data was compromised in Cambridge Analytica data breach. His testimony just proved how much trust tech companies have lost among Senators and House Committee members in the US.
There are two key takeaways, one where Facebook might be investigated for not disclosing details about Cambridge Analytica to FTC as part of consent decree and second, whether it will follow up on over three dozen promises made during 10 hour long testimony. There is also a looming question where US senators will go ahead with their plan to regulate tech companies. Sample Senator Kennedy’s opening statement, “I don’t want to vote to have to regulate Facebook, but by God I will. That — a lot of that depends on you.”
Now, let’s switch gears and brief you with all that happened in the world of technology today. OnePlus is just not shying away from more revealations about OnePlus 6.
