Xiaomi launched the Mi Band 3 a couple of months back, which brought in a host of improvements over the Mi Band 2. These improvements included an improved touch display with increased brightness, better battery life, a higher water resistance level, and Bluetooth 4.2. Now, the Chinese company has launched a new smartband with some more advanced features.
Xiaomi has named this new smartband, the Xiaomi Hey+, and it brings in quite a few improvements over the Mi Band 3. It sports a a 0.95-inch color OLED screen, which has a resolution of 240×120 pixels. and 282ppi. It only weighs 19.7 grams, and the bracelet is made of thermoplastic elastometer. The battery is 120mAh (the same capacity as the Mi Band 3), with a charging time of two hours. Xiaomi claims the battery is good enough to last for up to 18 days.
Being designed for sports activities, the Xiaomi Hey+ can track your swimming, running, walking activity and even has a heart-rate sensor that has now become fundamental for fitness devices. With the help of MiFit app, it sends information about our pulse to the mobile, with data analysis. The smartband also has a caller ID feature, with which you can reject calls directly from the band. By having an accelerometer, it also allows sleep monitoring, and has alarms and reminders alert.

There is also a NFC module implemented on the wristband to use it as a pass when entering the subway. It is already compatible with metros across 148 cities in China, and can also be used to enter buildings that have doors with NFC readers. Up to 10 calls or up to 10 messages can be displayed on the screen at once, and each message can contain a total of 300 characters. The 18 days battery is estimated to survive on an average use, with 50 daily notifications, two alarms, heart rate measurement three times, and an hour of activity tracking.
The Bluetooth 4.2 not only allows it to connect to the phone, but it can also be connected to the Xiaomi Home Automation system to even control other devices. To do this, it is necessary to pair it with the Mijia app. The Xiaomi Hey+ priced at RMB 229 (approximately Rs 2,300). Xiaomi Hey+ has already passed its crowdfunding phase, and will finally be up on sale from September 20 in China.
