Xiaomi is taking its fans to Spain for the Mi A2 launch as part of its Mi Explorer program

Xiaomi has just launched a new program, “Mi Explorer” where the company will take its fans to Spain on an all expense paid trip. To get started, Xiaomi fans need to log in with their Xiaomi account and complete a Mi Fan challenge to submit their entry. The company claims on the “Mi Explorer” landing page that the fans will “unlock the surprise in July”. The company has posted on its official blog stating that this program will give “a very selected group of Mi Fans” access to its new devices. According to the post, the company is “going BIG” by giving its fans the chance to travel Spain from July 23-25.

According to the blog post, applicants need to be passionate about products that Xiaomi launches, maintain confidentiality about the device that they will receive, and be older than 18 years. Other requirements include successfully completing 18 out of 20 questions as part of a quiz in less than five minutes, and be an English speaker. The company noted that it will be a plus if the fan loves to take photos, make unboxing or review videos. The trip will include one day tour of Madrid where fans will be required to “finish” missions with the devices given to them.

As part of the rules for participating in the program, fans will get three chances every day to register, and if they have maxed out the three chances, they will be allowed to try again the next day till the end of registration period.

According to GSMArena, it is likely that Xiaomi is planning to launch the much anticipated Xiaomi Mi A2 in Spain. Mi A2 will be the Android One-running variant of the already launched Xiaomi Mi 6X. The report also pointed out that Xiaomi may launch a second device, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite with Snapdragon 625 at the launch event along with the Snapdragon 660-powered Mi A2.
