Xiaomi recently released the teaser for its next product event in Shenzhen where it is likely to launch its next flagship smartphone. Now, a leaked screenshot has surface online that hints at Xiaomi hosting its annual product launch event on May 31. Xiaomi is yet to officially disclose the actual date for its annual event.
According to the leaked screenshot, the tickets for Xiaomi’s forthcoming event will be priced between RMB 799 (around Rs 8,500) and RMB 1,999 (around Rs 21,300). The leak also details that the event will accommodate a large capacity of 5,000 people at its annual product launch event. Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 2S launch event accommodated nearly 2,000 people in March. The leaked screenshot reveals that its annual product launch event will be the biggest product event yet from the company.
At the annual product launch event, if held on May 31, Xiaomi is anticipated to launch the Mi 8th anniversary edition smartphone alongside the much-rumored Mi 7 flagship smartphone. The leak also confirms the existence of Mi 8th anniversary smartphone. The product name has been spotted among other Xiaomi devices on the Chinese version of the Mi Store app. This smartphone is being rumored as the rebranded version of Mi 7 Plus. Alongside these two smartphones, Xiaomi could also launch the Mi Band 3, which was spotted on the wrist of CEO Lei Jun recently.
Adding fuel to the leaked screenshot, the box package and front panel of the alleged Xiaomi Mi 8 has also leaked in fresh pictures. It is believed that Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had entered bet worth 1 billion yuan with business rival Dong Mingzhu in 2013. The bet was that Xiaomi will outdo Gree Electronics Appliances in volume in five years. After official confirmation of the bet from Jun and Mingzhu, Xiaomi co-founder and Senior VP Li Wanqiang posted on Weibo that the company will give away 100 Mi 8 smartphones.

Alongside the Mi 7, Mi 8th anniversary and Mi Band 3 fitness tracker, Xiaomi might also launch the Mi Max 3.
