Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium unveiled
After unveiling the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact at MWC 2018, Sony has today unveiled the flagship Xperia XZ2 Premium smartphone. Among the highlights of the smartphone is the 5.8-inch 4K HDR display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage.
The smartphone also comes with dual cameras at the back, which includes a 19-megapixel RGB sensor along with a 12-megapixel monochrome sensor. The smartphone supports high ISO sensitivity up to 51,200 for photos, and 12,800 for videos. It can also shoot 120fps slow motion videos, and 960fps super slow motion videos.
Xiaomi Mi A1 discontinued in India
Xiaomi is all set to launch the Mi A2 (a.k.a Mi 6X) on April 25 in China. The smartphone is also expected to launch in India soon after the China launch. As the company prepares for the India launch, it has discontinued the Mi A1 in India.

Based on the leaks that we have come across, the Mi A2 is expected to come with a taller 5.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC, paired with 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB onboard storage. It is also expected to get camera upgrades in the form of 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera setup at the back, and a 20-megapixel front camera.
Reliance JioHomeTV to offer SD and HD channels at Rs 400
After disrupting the telecom industry, Reliance Jio seems all set to focus on the television and broadband industry. As a part of the plan, Jio is expected to launch its DTH set-top-box and IPTV services soon. Reports indicate that the service will be called JioHomeTV, and it will offer users with 200 SD and HD channels with prices starting from Rs 400. The exact launch date and other details about the pricing of the set top box are unknown.
Motorola Moto G5S now cheaper by Rs 5,000
Motorola launched the Moto G5S last year priced at Rs 14,999. In between, the company had given a temporary price cut of Rs 1,000, but today, Motorola has slashed the price of Moto G5S by Rs 5,000. The effective price is now Rs 9,999 and it is applicable on purchases made from Amazon India, Moto Hub stores and other retail outlets.
WhatsApp for Android beta gains Request Money feature
WhatsApp has updated the Android beta app which brings new feature to its Payments service. Until now, users were only able to send money to other WhatsApp users, either via QR Code or by using the UPI ID. Now, the UPI-based payments service has got a new option is called ‘Request Money’ that lets you request money from other WhatsApp users. OnePlus is all set to unveil the new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 6, and as per rumors, the smartphone is expected to launch either by the end of this month, or sometime next month. Ahead of the launch, we have come across leaked renders, rumored specifications and more.
