Last year, Xiaomi launched the Mi A1 in India, which was basically a rebranded version of the Mi 5X. The Chinese company is now believed to be working on the Mi 6X, which could come to India as the Mi A2. Alleged specifications of the much-rumored smartphone have now been spotted online.
Xiaomi Mi 6X aka Mi A2 leaked specifications
A snapshot showing alleged specifications and features of the Xiaomi Mi 6X have surfaced online courtesy of bestunderr.com. As per the leak, the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone will feature a 5.99-inch FHD+ (2160×1080 pixels) display sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 626 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB internal storage.
It is further said to be backed by a 2,910mAh battery, and feature a 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. Like its predecessor, the Mi 6X too is likely to feature a dual-camera setup. As per the leak, this setup will include a 20-megapixel (f/2.0 aperture) primary sensor, and an 8-megapixel (f/1.8 aperture) secondary sensor. If true, this would prove to be quite the bump when compared to the photographic chops of the Mi 5X aka Mi A1.

The leak also states that the Mi 6X will run Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI out-of-the-box. If the smartphone is indeed launched in India as the Mi A2, the smartphone is likely to run stock Android Oreo, since the A-series is part of Google’s Android One initiative.
Much of what has been leaked is in line with previous sightings of the Mi 6X. There is currently no word on when Xiaomi plans to launch the smartphone in China, and later in India. In the meantime, as with all such leaks, we advice you to take this information with the proverbial pinch of salt.
