Xiaomi has launched a new gaming mouse as it continues to expand its presence in the gaming ecosystem. The Chinese smartphone maker had recently launched a gaming laptop, and is now expanding into peripherals as well.
With the new Mi Gaming Mouse, Xiaomi is trying to target the gaming segment, where select companies enjoy a niche following. This is not the first time that Xiaomi is launching a mouse. The company had launched Mi Wireless Mouse Youth Edition few weeks back, and is now going after gamers in its home market. The newly launched Mi Gaming Mouse costs RMB 249 (around Rs 2,500), which makes it attractive for even first-time gamers.
Xiaomi says its Mi Gaming Mouse comes equipped with a professional 7200dpi optical sensor with five adjustable speeds for smooth gameplay. It has an ergonomic design, and micro-motion to support rapid actions. The mouse supports functions such as quick key targeting, press and hold action among other such actions, which will appeal to gamers. It also supports an adjustable DPI for smoother experience during RPG and FPS-style games.
The Mi Gaming Mouse is powered by a 32-bit ARM processor, and it can be programmed with 125/250/500/1000 four-speeds through the software. In addition to right click, left click and scroll wheel, the mouse also has two buttons on the top. One of the buttons is used to increase the speed while the second one decreases the speed. The mouse has support for 30G acceleration and tracking speed of 150IPS.

The mouse can be operated in two different modes – wired as well as wireless. Xiaomi suggests using it as wired mouse for gaming, and wireless for home and office applications. Since it is a gaming mouse, there is of course RGB lights and customers can choose from four different lighting modes for the scroll as well as tail lighting. The mouse is compatible with both Windows and macOS.
