Xiaomi Mi Max and MIUI 8 to launch in India today, here's how to watch the event live online

Xiaomi is all set to launch its Mi Max phablet and MIUI8 ROM in India today.


We are just couple of hours away from Xiaomi‘s event in New Delhi today where the company will launch its Mi Max phablet and MIUI 8 ROM. The event will start at 11.30AM IST and you can watch the event live online as well. Xiaomi has set up a dedicated page on its newly launched Mi Community site to live stream the event. Xiaomi fans can also follow the event on Facebook and Twitter with hashtags like #MiMax and #MIUI8 .

Xiaomi Mi Max specifications and features: The Xiaomi Mi Max sports a 6.44-inch full HD (1080p) display. The smartphone is available in multiple variants. There’s a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650 powered variant with 32GB storage and 3GB of RAM. Other two variants with 64GB storage and 3GB of RAM, and 128GB storage and 4GB of RAM are powered by Snapdragon 652 chipset.

The smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The Mi Max is armed with a 4,850mAh battery with support for Quick Charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 4G LTE with VoLTE connectivity.


While Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be launching the Mi Max phablet and MIUI 8, the company may also surprise us by launching the Mi Band 2. Xiaomi had previously surprised us by launching the Mi Bluetooth speaker along with the Redmi Note 3 in March this year.

Mi Band 2 features: The second generation Mi Band offers a 20-day battery life and is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 along with OLED display. It also comes with a physical button that helps you view the number of steps walked, calories burned, heart rate, and sleep. It is water and dust resistance and comes with IP67 certification.

MIUI 8: Xiaomi unveiled MIUI 8 in May in China. The latest MIUI8 ROM will bring tons of new features in the likes of Mi Lanting, upgraded scanner app, revamped gallery app, calculator app, Notes, SMS security, Power saving mode and many more. The company also announce several India-centric features as well.
