The last day of the week has closed off with some interesting leaks and confirmations. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s has leaked once again in a video just ahead of its official launch on March 27. An Apple patent was spotted that revealed the company’s plans for a crumb-resistant keyboard. The day also brought in the news of the Android Oreo finally rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s leaked
Ahead of the official release, a new video has leaked, and it gives away some hints at the design of the Mi MIX 2s. In line with previous rumors, the smartphone is shown sporting a notch at the top-right corner, which will also house the selfie camera. Xiaomi is scheduled to launch the Mi MIX 2s on March 27 in China.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 855
SoftBank today confirmed the Snapdragon 855 SoC, along with the detail that it would come with 5G-capable modem. The processor is expected to be announced towards the end of this year with first batch of devices shipping in 2019. With 5G-capable modem, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 will essentially be a dual-modem chipset as it will need support for 4G LTE as well. SoftBank also mentioned its partners in the presentation, which include Samsung, Ericsson, Nokia and also Qualcomm.
A recently spotted patent application reveals how Apple might be designing a MacBook keyboard that will prevent crumbs and dust from getting stuck around those super-shallow keys. Apple is planning careful application of gaskets, brushes, wipers or flaps that will block gaps beneath the keycaps.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Activision today announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is an official game, and will be launched on October 12, 2018. It will first be revealed to the world on May 17 in a community reveal event. The game is being developed by Treyarch, which has developed all the three previous instalments in the series. The game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 gets Android Oreo
Finally, Samsung has been reported to be prepping to rollout the Android Oreo update for the Galaxy Note 8, starting March 30.
A website owned and operated by Samsung Turkey, has revealed the list of Samsung products that will receive the newest Android Oreo. According to SamMobile, Android 8.0 Oreo is the next OS update to reach Galaxy Note 8, and the firmware is in the test phase right now with the ‘planned update date’ on March 30.
