Xiaomi has quietly added another smart TV to its Mi TV range. Today, the company has launched the Mi TV 4A Youth Edition in China. This 43-inch smart TV is priced at RMB 1,699 (approximately Rs 17,800), and will go on sale from May 4.
As the name suggests, the Mi TV 4A Youth Edition is a toned down version of the 43-inch Mi TV 4A, which was launched in India last month. While the new model is cheaper than the Mi TV 4A, it is priced the same as the Mi TV 4A 40-inch model. The Youth Edition retains the smart features, and the AI-powered PatchWall UI.
Retaining the slim design, the Mi TV 4A Youth Edition features dimensions of 965.89×607.89×233.22mm, and weighs in at 7.58 kilograms. As far as specifications are concerned, the Mi TV 4A Youth Edition flaunts a 43-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with a refresh rate of 60GHz and 178-degrees viewing angle.
Under the hood is an Amlogic Cortex-A53 quad-core SoC, clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with Mali-450 GPU. There is also 1GB of RAM built-in, and 8GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, two HDMI ports, two USB ports, one Ethernet port, one AV component port, and one S/PDIF audio port. The smart TV supports voice control, DTS-HD, and boasts two 6W speakers. As we have seen on other Mi TVs, the new smart TV also runs PatchWall UI. The UI offers AI-based curated content delivery, and features such as speech recognition and unified search.
