Xiaomi has launched a new variant of its Mi TV range, called the Mi TV 4C. The TV has currently only been launched in China for now, and is priced from CNY 1849 (Approximately Rs 18,200). The Mi TV 4C will be available in two sizes: 43-inch and 55-inch and is slated as the successor to the Mi TV 4A which was launched earlier this year. Xiaomi has not outlined plans to launch the Mi TV outside of China, and it is unlikely that the product will be seen in any other markets, including India.
Apart from the size of the screen, the two variants of the Mi TV 4C also have a few other differences in the specification sheet. The 43-inch model comes with a full-HD screen, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage and is priced at CNY 1849 (approximately Rs 18,200), while the 55-inch variant comes with a 4K HDR screen, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage with a price tag of CNY 2649 (approximately Rs 26,000). Both TVs are also being touted for the slim borders and premium design, and come with two-point table-mounts.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4C comes with an Amlogic T962 SoC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and more. The bezels on both TVs are just 9mm thick, giving the impression of a TV that is practically entirely screen with very little non-screen space. The TV also comes with support for Dolby and DTS audio, and features the HDR 10 specification for high dynamic range picture. The Mi Bluetooth remote control does not come bundled with the TV and must be bought separately for CNY 99 (approximately Rs 1000).
It’s interesting to note that the TV is significantly more affordable than similar options by major manufacturers present in India. While Xiaomi has indicated intention to bring products such as TVs and laptops to India, there are no concrete plans as of now and Indian buyers will have to resort to shopping in China for Xiaomi products such as the Mi TV 4C.
