As expected, Xiaomi has launched the Mi 3 in India for Rs 14,999. The smartphone will be available to buy from July 15. Xiaomi is also launching its Power Bank in two variants – 5,200mAh and 10,400mAh. There is no word on its pricing.
The Mi 3 is Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p IPS display, a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. It comes with 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, both capable of shooting 1080p videos. The Mi 3 also features dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and Wi-Fi Direct. It has a massive 3,050mAh battery as well.
At Rs 14,999, we believe it is insane pricing and should take the market by a storm. Knowing Xiaomi, there will be limited stocks available at launch, so be ready to book yours on July 15.
BGR India had earlier exclusively reported that Xiaomi will sell its smartphones and accessories via Flipkart. However, unlike Motorola, Flipkart won’t be importing the units for Xiaomi into India and is most likely to be the distribution and retail channel for the smartphone maker.
