Xiaomi unveiled its new MIUI 10 ROM at its recent launch event held in China. Now based on a teaser video from the company, it looks like Xiaomi is gearing up to roll out the global version of the MIUI 10 ROM at New Delhi on June 7. The company is expected to launch the Redmi Y2 the same day.
The 21-second video was initially spotted on a company forum, but was later shared by Xiaomi India’s Vice President and Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain. We already know that Xiaomi is hosting an event in New Delhi to launch the Redmi Y2. So, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if the company announces its custom ROM as well. Not to mention, Xiaomi had announced the rollout of MIUI 9 last year while also launching the Redmi Y1, which as you can tell is the predecessor to the upcoming Redmi Y2.
Xiaomi’s latest ROM comes with plenty of design changes. However, the focus has been more on AI integration. One of the key new features of the ROM is the AI Portrait mode. Xiaomi claims that it can enhance Bokeh images, regardless of you working with single or dual cameras. There is also said to be an AI Preload feature, which analyses your app usage pattern and reduces loading times, in order to make the experience more seamless. Other features of the ROM include navigational gestures, a driving mode and support for smart home devices.
