Flipkart will inform these 2,000 subscribers via an email of their eligibility for early access. The rest of the subscribers, on the other hand, will be able to buy the smartphone till stocks last on Tuesday.

With more than 100,000 users registered for 40,000 Redmi 1S units, a lot of buyers are again likely to be left frustrated. If the Xiaomi Mi 3 sales experience is anything to go by, the sale on Tuesday too is expected to be over in a matter of seconds. Xiaomi’s Mi 3 sales on Flipkart lasted 40 minutes, five seconds, two seconds, 2.4 seconds, 2.3 seconds, and 2.4 seconds respectively.

To recap on the specifications, the Redmi 1S features a 4.7-inch 720p display, and is powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also featured are 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot, and a 2,000mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean wrapped under Xiaomi’s MIUI.

The smartphone was earlier announced for Rs 6,999, but Xiaomi recently slashed Rs 1,000 from the launch price and the smartphone will now retail at Rs 5,999. The company has also announced a range of accessories that will go on sale next week. They include screen protectors in shiny and matte finishes for Rs 179, a back cover for Rs 469, and a flip cover for Rs 559.

Reasons one should Not Buy “Redmi 1S” -

    1) Most Important – it is a “Chinese” Phone. Remember those decorating lighting we by around Diwali time which, even our friendly neighborhood electrical shop vala sells us without guaranteeing how long the thing will last..

    2) The way it’s being sold – it’s not as if the end – user / buyer is
helping the company earn money, but as if the company is doing favor by
    selling it in India.

    3) Innocent retail customers will be taken for ride by Hoarders, by creating Artificial Shortage. One can still find so many people hunting for buyers to sell MI3 at a premium!

    4) There are so many great options available in this same price range (as
we can see, Zenfone, Moto E, lest we forget Karbonn, Micromax Et al.) The specs look good but actual performance and company’s service levels will be realized only once customers start facing issues with the products

    5) User can’t move apps to SD card or make the SD card as default storing device, Not disclosed by the company here…

    6) The company has already accepted about sending user phone data to a
Chinese Server, and only God knows what all user data will be saved.

    7) Has anyone ever purchased a New Phone without bare minimum accessories like a Head Phones…

; Also, the first hand user experience who bought this same model in
China, reported of Bad battery life and almost negligible customer
service provided to him in China itself .. don’t know what CS / kind of
CS will they provide here …

You don’t know the power of startups. Go leave in the chained world and we will prosper in our free world. I will buy this phone as it can be rooted without any warranty loss and is customisable to a hell lot you can imagine.
P.S.- No hard feelings just go with the change. :)
