But you can now buy the base variant for as low as Rs 999. Amazon India is offering some interesting deals that drastically bring down the cost of Xiaomi’s affordable smartphone.
Amazon India is offering some exchange offers where you can sell your old smartphone for a new Redmi 5, and get up to Rs 7,190 off. At the time of filing this story, we tried to get an estimate of how much discount you can score while exchanging your old smartphone. And when you look at the exchange value, you’re bound to be disappointed.
The flagship smartphone, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, for instance, will not fetch you more than Rs 3,798. The Apple iPhone 7 Plus gets a mere Rs 7,000 off, the Google Pixel 2 XL gets a maximum of Rs 5,005. The Redmi 5 features a 5.7-inch HD+ display running at a resolution of 1440×720 pixels, with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
