In the past two months, Xiaomi has launched a handful of products in India. The company finally brought the Mi TV 4 and Mi TV 4A to India with an aggressive price tag. Recently, the Chinese smartphone maker also launched the affordable Redmi 5 smartphone with a FullView display. Today, both the Redmi 5 and Mi TV 4-series are going on sale, and here’s everything you need to know about the sale.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 price in India and availability
The smartphone will go on sale via Amazon India at 12:00PM today. It will be offered in three storage variants – the 2GB RAM variant with 16GB storage is priced at Rs 7,999, the 3GB RAM variant with 32GB storage is priced at Rs 8,999, whereas the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage will set you back by Rs 10,999.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 specifications and features
The Redmi 5 features a 5.7-inch HD+ display running at a resolution of 1440×720 pixels, with an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU. With a 12-megapixel primary camera, the smartphone also comes with a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
On the connectivity front, the Redmi 5 comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE with VoLTE calling on compatible networks. Armed with a 3,300mAh battery, the smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat based MIUI 9.

Xiaomi Mi TV 4, Mi TV 4A price in India and availability
The Mi TV 4-series will go on sale via Flipkart at 12:00PM today. The Mi TV 4 comes with a 55-inch display, and is priced at Rs 39,999. The Mi TV 4A, on the other hand, is offered in two variants, a 32-inch model priced at Rs 13,999, and a 43-inch model priced at Rs 22,999. Xiaomi is also offering free installation with the purchase of these smart LED TVs.

Xiaomi claims that the Mi TV 4 is the slimmest TV with the edge measuring just 4.9mm. It features a 55-inch 4K HDR display with a refresh rate of 60Hz, and viewing angle of 178-degrees. Under the hood is an Amlogic quad-core CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It is paired with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The Mi TV 4 also comes with one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, three HDMI, one RJ-45 Ethernet port, one AV and S/PDIF ports. It also supports connectivity options such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4A specifications and features
The Mi TV 4A comes in two variants – a 32-inch model with HD ready display, and a 43-inch model with 1080p display. Both of them are powered by a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU, and paired with 1GB RAM, and 8GB onboard storage.
The 32-inch model features two USB ports, whereas the 43-inch model offers three USB port. Both models offer three HDMI port, Ethernet port, earphone out and AV port. They also support Wi-Fi, but lack Bluetooth connectivity options.
Besides the aggressive price point, the highlight of Xiaomi’s new Smart TVs is the PatchWall UI. The interface offers content from different sources into a unified layout, and uses a tiled geography to help distinguish the content. Xiaomi has also unified the remote to use the TV that comes bundled with the TV to control both TV and the set-top box.
