It’s just been three months into 2018, and Xiaomi has already launched a few smartphones and Mi TV 4 series in India. Lately, while the buzz has been around the newly launched Redmi 5, Xiaomi hasn’t forgotten its budget offering, the Redmi 5A that it launched in India in November 2017. The budget smartphone will be going on flash sale today at 12:00PM, and here are all the details.
Xiaomi Redmi 5A price in India
The Redmi 5A will be available to purchase from Flipkart and mi.com. Buyers can choose between two variants – the 2GB RAM with 16GB storage variant is priced at Rs 5,999, whereas the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 6,999. There are some offers that buyers can avail too, such as ‘no cost EMIs’ from Rs 250 per month on 25 percent down payment.
Axis Bank Buzz credit card users can avail 5 percent cashback, maximum of Rs 200. And lastly, Reliance Jio users can get up to Rs 2,200 cashback on minimum recharge of Rs 198 or Rs 299 per month. After the first recharge, 44 vouchers of Rs 50 each will be credited in MyJio app, which users can redeem against subsequent recharges.
Xiaomi Redmi 5A specifications, features
When it comes to specifications, the Redmi 5A comes with a 5-inch HD (720p) display. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core SoC paired with 2GB or 3GB of RAM. With 16GB or 32GB onboard storage options, the smartphone also offers the ability to further expand the storage by using a microSD card.
In the photography department, you get a 13-megapixel rear camera of f/2.2 aperture, and a 5-megapixel front camera of f/2.0 aperture. Armed with a 3,000mAh battery, connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the device runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat-based MIUI 9.
