The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is going on sale today at 12PM in India. The popular budget smartphone will be available for purchase on mi.com and Flipkart for a starting price of Rs 14,999. Since this is a flash sale, there’s a good chance that stocks will run out soon. We recommend that you keep your account logged in prior to the sale time if you are keen on getting yourself a device.
Besides the 4GB RAM variant, there is also a 6GB RAM variant available for the smartphone at a price of Rs 16,999. In partnership with Reliance Jio, Xiaomi is also offering a Rs 2,200 cashback and 4.5TB of data. There are also no cost EMI options available on Flipkart for up to 18 months.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features and specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, featuring an Adreno 506 GPU. Alongside the two RAM options, the phone comes with a 64GB internal storage, which can further be expanded by 128GB via a microSD card. On top of everything, it features a 5.99-inch full HD+ (1080 x 2160) display, with a tall aspect ratio of 18:9.
In terms of photography, the Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a dual-camera setup at the back, with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The camera setup is vertically aligned and comes with a portrait mode. Up front, the smartphone features a 20-megapixel camera with LED flash and an f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options include, dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, micro-USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery and runs on Android Nougat based MIUI 9 operating system. The smartphone features a premium build, which is available in four colors – Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Lake Blue.
