Earlier leaks have hinted at the upcoming smartphone featuring a 16-megapixel selfie camera with Samsung’s S5K3P8SP sensor. The front camera will no doubt be assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI) to boost the quality of the selfies.
There is likely to be an AI-assisted Portrait mode wherein the front camera will be able to shoot selfies with bokeh effects. In other words, you will stand out against a blurred background. Other speculated features includes an AI-assisted beauty mode, and AI face recognition.
At the back, it’s been confirmed that the Redmi S2 will boast a dual-camera setup vertically stacked at the top-left corner. The setup is expected to include a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The camera is again expected to boast some AI-assisted features like beauty and portrait modes.
