Xiaomi Redmi Y2 will be going on sale again today via Amazon India, and mi.com starting at 12:00PM. The smartphone falls under the budget category and is priced at Rs 9,999. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 is the successor to last year’s Redmi Y1, and it brings new selfie camera features thanks to the front-facing 16-megapixel camera, powered by AI technology.
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 is available in two configurations. The base variant, which is priced at Rs 9,999, comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The higher variant is priced at Rs 12,999, and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. As part of the sale, Airtel is offering a Rs 1,800 cashback and 240GB of free data.
Besides that, Xiaomi will also be selling the new Mi TV 4 series of smart TVs today at 12:00PM. The series carries three models, which includes the Mi TV 4 55-inch, Mi TV 4A 43-inch, and Mi TV 4A 32-inch. These will be available through mi.com, and are priced at Rs. 44,999, Rs 22,999, and Rs 13,999 respectively.
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 specifications and features
The Redmi Y2 features a 5.99-inch HD+ display with a tall 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset paired with Adreno 506 GPU, and a 3,000mAh battery. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo, layered with MIUI 9.5 on top. Besides the internal storage, it features an expandable storage of 256GB via a microSD card.
The highlight of the smartphone is the 16-megapixel camera up front, which also comes with an aperture of f/2.0. It is equipped with Super Pixel, AI Beautify 4.0, and LED flash. It also supports Face Unlock feature. There is also a dual-camera setup at the back, which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor, paired alongside a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and micro-USB port.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4 and Mi TV 4A specifications and features
The most premium of the three models is the Mi TV 4, which packs-in a 55-inch Ultra HD 4K resolution display. It features 60Hz standard refresh rate and carries HDR support as well. The smart LED TV features a sleek design with a 4.9 mm ultra-thin profile. It is powered by a quad-core Amlogic 64 bit processor, Mali-T830 MP2 Graphics, 2GB RAM, and 8GB storage. You also get three HDMI ports, two USB ports, and 8W stereo speakers.

The Mi TV 4A is available in two sizes – 43-inch and 32-inch. The bigger variant offers full HD resolution, while the 32-inch model offers only HD ready resolution. Both models also come with 60Hz standard refresh, and are powered by an Amlogic 64-bit quad-core processor, Mali-450 MP3, 1GB RAM, and 8GB storage. Both TVs also come with three HDMI, two USB ports, and 20W speakers. All three TV runs on PatchWall OS.
