Xiaomi’s latest smartphone, the Redmi Y2, went on sale for the first time yesterday. In case you missed out on buying the smartphone yesterday, here’s when you can try your luck again.

The smartphone was launched in two variants. The base model with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM is priced at Rs 9,999. The top-end model with 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM is priced at Rs 12,999. Buyers will be able to choose from grey, gold and rose gold color options.
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 features, specifications
The Redmi Y2, as the name suggests, belongs to Xiaomi’s selfie-centric smartphone series. The first smartphone in this series was the Redmi Y1, which launched last year. Like last year, the focus this year is again on the device’s selfie clicking abilities. Having said that, the dual-camera setup at the back is not at all bad either.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Redmi Y2 flaunts a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. Other features include dual-camera setup (12-megapixel+5-megapixel) at the back, 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a 3,080mAh battery. For security, there’s a fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock feature.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro-USB. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android Oreo-based MIUI 9.5.
