Xiaomi unveils 32-inch Mi TV 4A model, its smallest, cheapest smart TV yet

Xiaomi has just announced its smallest and cheapest Mi TV. The Xiaomi Mi TV 4A (32-inches) is the company’s smallest TV yet from the Mi TV 4A series and weighs just 3.9kg. It is priced at 1,099 Yuan (approximately Rs 10,500) and will be available starting July 23. Xiaomi will be further offering a discount of 100 Yuan (approximately Rs 1,000) on the shipping of the new model. As of now, the Mi 4A series is available only in China and it is unclear if Xiaomi will bring the product to India anytime soon.

The new model is part of the company’s Xiaomi Mi TV 4A Series which was first announced in March earlier this year. It features a plastic housing which brings its weight notches down. Even with the base attached to the TV frame, it weighs 3.94kg. In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4A features a 32-inch display with 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution and refresh rate of 60Hz.

The television is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, having four Cortex-A53 cores, Mali-450 MP3 GPU, along with 1GB of RAM. There is 4GB of onboard storage available on the Mi TV 4A. The television has a 178-degree viewing angle and includes two 5W stereo speakers, GizmoChina reports.

As for connectivity, the Mi TV 4A includes two HDMI ports, one AV port, one S/PDIF output, DTMB, one USB Port and a connector. Xiaomi’s Mi 4A series consists of televisions with display sizes of 43-inch, 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch. Prices of the smart TVs start at 2,099 Yuan (Rs 20,000 approximately) and the new model adds to the lineup. The larger TVs are powered by quad-core 64-bit Amlogic T962 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with Mali 450 GPU. The 43-inch and 49-inch models of the Mi TV 4A series offer display with HD resolution while the 55-inch and 65-inch models boast 4K display resolution. In addition to this, the Mi TV 4A series comes with support for HDR10, and UHD HLG along with support for Dolby Vision.
