Xolo Play Tegra Note tablet powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 4 spotted online for Rs 18,990

There was quite a bit of buzz around the Xolo Play Tegra Note tablet, which was expected to launch in October. Though it missed that deadline, it may be close to a launch after the Tegra-powered tablet was spotted by FoneArena on an Indian e-commerce site for Rs 18,990.

To remind you of the specifications, the Xolo Play Tegra Note is somewhat of a powerhouse on paper. It is powered by a Tegra 4 SoC featuring a quad-core Cortex A15 CPU, which also includes a fifth core for better battery efficiency and a massive 72-core GeForce GPU.

Other features included are a 7-inch (1280×800 pixels) display, 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera with software add-ons like Camera Awesome app, 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded to up to 32GB using a microSD card and a battery that is good enough for 10 hours of HD video playback.

The tablet runs on pure Android Jelly Bean and Nvidia will be pushing OTA Android updates rather than relying on its hardware vendor partners. The tablet is also bundled with a double-sided stylus, which essentially lets users operate the tablet using both the tips of the stylus.

can’t these people at xolo think of anything new.. they just know how to cheat other’s ideas. this tab is a direct copy of evga tegra note which is available for usd 200. it’s really shameful that these company can’t think anything themselves and try to money by using other’s ideas :/

this is not copying… nvidia doesn’t sell their tablet directly.. xolo is nvidia’s partner for India..

but they are still selling it for a lot more and they do need to improve their after sales service..

service i can agree.. but we can’t blame them for the price.. blame it on govt for imposing lot of tax.. when google sells $230 nexus 7 for 21k this price looks okay..
