After launching the Q1000 Opus last year, Xolo seems to be close to launching its successor called the Q1000 Opus 2. The smartphone is available on Indian e-commerce sites for Rs 9,780. It was first spotted by FoneArena.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Q1000 Opus 2 features a 5-inch IPS qHD (960×540 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 302 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
Also featured is an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, FM Radio, 4GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card, and a 2,000mAh battery. Connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0.
In comparison, last year’s Q1000 Opus features a 5-inch IPS FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display, 1.2GHz Cortex A7 Broadcom quad-core chipset, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal memory, which is expandable through a microSD card, a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, and a 2,000mAh battery.
The biggest difference however is that the Q1000 Opus was updated to Android KitKat last month, while the newer smartphone is surprisingly still stuck on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
