Xolo has launched the Q1100 smartphone as its answer to the recently announced Motorola Moto X smartphone in India. The USP of the Q1100 is that it offers Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box, and is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, both of which are also seen on the mid-range Motorola Moto G. The Xolo Q1100 has been launched for Rs 14,999 in India, and is available on the company’s website.
Talking of the specifications, the Q1100 flaunts a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display with One Glass Solution (OGS) technology, which was also seen on the company’s yet to be launched Q1010 mid-range smartphone. It is powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz with 450MHz Adreno 305 graphics engine, while the Moto G’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor ticks at 1.2GHz. On the memory front, the processor is paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory, which can be expanded by up to 32GB using a misroSD card. The Moto G, on the other hand, offers similar RAM and is available in both 8GB and 16GB variants, but lacks a microSD card slot. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI 2 sensor and autofocus, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor.
The phone houses a 2,000mAh battery, which the company claims provide up to 600 hours of stand by time on 2G and up to 450 hours on 3G, and up to 24 hours of talk time on 2G and up to 12.5 hours on 3G.
The Xolo Q1100 is available in black color, and for Rs 14,999, the phone will be up against the Micromax CanvasTurbo A250 smartphone, which is now got significant price cut and is available online for approximately Rs 16,379. It comes with a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display, but runs on an older version of the Jelly Bean. You can read our review of the Canvas Turbo A250 here.
