Following our report on Xolo working on a bigger screen phablet, the company’s Q3000 with 5.7-inch display has been spotted listed on an e-commerce portal under the coming soon tag. First spotted by FoneArena, this will be the company’s first phablet with such a huge display.
Going by the features mentioned online, the Q3000 will come with a 5.7-inch full HD (1080p) IPS display, which makes it a better option than the Micromax Canvas Doodle 2
which has a 5.7-inch HD (720p) IPS display. Under the hood runs MediaTek’s Turbo quad-core processor ticking at 1.5GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, while the Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM by the same chipset vendor.
The phablet sports a 13-megapxel rear camera with BSI 2 sensor, which supports full HD recording and playback and a 5-megapixel front facing camera with BSI sensor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, dual-SIM support and 3G network (HSDPA and HSUPA) and a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). It houses a 4,000mAh battery, which according to the online portal offers up to 21 hours of talk time and up to 634 hours of standby run. Other features include USB OTG (On the go) OTA update support, and gesture controls.
On the software front, just like Micromax canvas Doodle 2, this phablet too runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The phablet might even don the company’s own skin, which is likely to get launched in January.
The phablet will mainly be up against the likes of Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 in local brands, and is expected to get launched soon.
