Zen Mobile Ultra Tab A100 with Android ICS launched in India for Rs 6,199

Zen Mobile launches the Ultra Tab A100 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered tablet in India for Rs 6,199. The Tablet rocks a 1.2GHz processor with a Mali 400 GPU, a 7-inch display with a WVGA resolution of 800×480 pixels, a 1.3-megapixel camera for video chat, an external TF card reader for up to 32GB of storage, and a 2800 mAh battery.

Zen Mobile is providing a customized Ice Cream Sandwich experience for the tablet with its 3D UI for the Android skin. Additionally, it will also support web standards like flash and HTML 5. Zen Mobile has partnered with Home Shop 18 for the launch of the Ultra Tab A100.

The Ultra Tab A100 will come preloaded with a multitude of goodies like a live panel menu for social networks, a readers and music hub for more content and a preloaded Bollywood flick (Zindagi Na milegi Dobara).

On the whole, the Ultra Tab A100 is entering an already congested segment in the tablet market which includes the likes of the Micromax Funbook, Karbonn Smart Tab 1 and the Mercury mTab. Specs wise though, the Ultra Tab A100 competes very well, however standing out in a crowded market will be a different challenge altogether.
