Zinio releases Windows Phone 8 app exclusive for Nokia Lumia phones

Nokia has added a lot of value to the Windows Phone ecosystem, and the latest entrant is Zinio the magazine newsstand app. The new app however, remains a Nokia Lumia exclusive, which means the user will need to be a Nokia Lumia user to get access to all the content.

This announcement comes a few months after the company had released its app on Windows 8 in late 2012. The app for Windows Phone 8 will feature a reading list of select articles taken from trending magazines and full issues from user libraries, which will be available both in offline as well as in online modes. Moreover, the users will be automatically updated with the latest articles and magazines. However, it might concern the battery conscious users as this will consume more battery as the app will be constantly downloading content in the background which could possibly drain out phone battery at a  higher rate. Users will also be able to personalize the list by picking particular genres of articles catering to their interest.

Besides this, the app will come with Windows Phone 8 live tile support, bookmarks, pinning, and more, giving users the whole of Windows Metro experience. And last but not the least, it will feature an improved text mode support for easy reading on smartphone screens.

Confusing. The title of the article suggests that the app is available. Is it actually available, or is it promised to be released, at some unspecified future date?
