MWC 2014 Live: ZTE Grand Memo II LTE and Firefox OS running Open C smartphones announced

As expected, ZTE took the wraps off three new smartphones — the Grand Memo II LTE, which is the successor to the Grand Memo and runs on Android. The other two smartphones are the Open C and the Open II that run on Firefox OS.

Talking of the specifications, the Grand Memo II LTE flaunts a 6-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Other features include a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, 16GB of internal storage and a 3,200mAh battery.

Design-wise the Grand Memo II LTE comes in a very slim 7.2mm body and as the name suggests, it supports LTE. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat wrapped under ZTE’s latest MiFavor 2.3 UI.

zte-open-c-open-2The Open C features a 4-inch display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 dual-core SoC paired with 512MB of RAM. Additionally, it also includes a 3-megapixel rear camera, 4GB of internal storage and a 1,400mAh battery.

The Open II, on the other hand, features a 3.5-inch HVGA (480×320 pixels) display and is powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 dual-core processor paired with 256MB of RAM. Other features include a 2-megapixel rear camera, 2GB of internal storage and a 1,150mAh battery.

Both the above mentioned devices run on Firefox OS 1.3.
