ZTE’s U956 phablet has been leaked on the Sina Weibo forums. The device in question basically points towards an affordable mid-range smartphone/phablet option for consumers.
The U956 will reportedly have a quad-core processor made by MediaTek, a 5-inch 720p display, an 8-megapixel camera and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Notably, it has support for TD-SCDMA networks, which points to it being a China specific device but ZTE is known to bringing global variants of its smartphones.
Right now, there is very limited information but the leaked image showed the China Mobile branding so it could be launched very soon in China.
