ZUK Edge II Special Edition with dual-rear cameras, dual-curved display leaked online

Details about the ZUK Edge II Special Edition emerge weeks after the launch of the ZUK Edge.

It has been hardly two months since the launch of the ZUK Edge smartphone and it seems the company is already gearing up to launch a successor. Renders of what’s believed to be a special edition of the ZUK Edge 2 have emerged online. The smartphone is being dubbed as the ZUK Edge II Special Edition.

As reported by Androidheadlines, the smartphone is said to be themed around Luo Tianyi, a Chinese Vocaloid character. The renders show that smartphone will come in light blue color. According to rumors, the smartphone will also be available in white and black color variants.

The renders further reveal dual cameras at the back. You can also spot the laser focus module below the camera setup and a LED flash. The power and volume rockers placed on the right hand side while the U-Touch home key will be located below the phone’s display, which in all probability will double up as the fingerprint scanner. The display is curved on both sides and look like the phone will come with thin bezel.

In comparison, the ZUK Edge was launched with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display. Under the hood, the smartphone comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor. In the photography department, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF support, LED flash. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. Armed with a 3,100mAh battery the smartphone also supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM card (nano) slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and an USB Type-C port. On the software front, the ZUK Edge runs on Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box wrapped under ZUI.
