From Lenovo Z2 Plus to Xiaomi Mi 5: 6 Snapdragon 820 smartphones launched in India

Lenovo today launched the Z2 Plus smartphone in India, with prices starting from Rs 17,999. It will be available in two variants -- 32GB variant with 3GB RAM for Rs 17,999 and 64GB variant with 4GB RAM for Rs 19,999. Both variants will be available on Amazon India from September 25. While it is but a rebranded ZUK Z2, the talking point here is that Z2 Plus is among the cheapest smartphones in India to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. More →

Xiaomi yesterday launched the Redmi Pro smartphone in China. The company describes the new smartphone as the most powerful in the Redmi series yet, One of the main highlights of the smartphone is the dual-camera setup at the back. In essence, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro features a pair of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel snappers at the back, with one clicking still images and the other for capturing depth information.
