Lenovo today launched the Z2 Plus smartphone in India, with prices starting from Rs 17,999. It will be available in two variants — 32GB variant with 3GB RAM for Rs 17,999 and 64GB variant with 4GB RAM for Rs 19,999. Both variants will be available on Amazon India from September 25. While it is but a rebranded ZUK Z2, the talking point here is that Z2 Plus is among the cheapest smartphones in India to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset.

Even the likes of Samsung has opted for the chipset on its flagship smartphones. OnePlus 3: The OnePlus 3 launched earlier this year is priced at Rs 27,999. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch 1080p display Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 16-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording, and an 8-megapixel fixed focus selfie camera. The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner, 3,000mAh battery with Dash Charge support, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. On the software front, it runs on OxygenOS based Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
HTC 10: HTC dropped the 'One' moniker from its flagship smartphone, and launched the HTC 10 for Rs 52,990. The smartphone comes with features like 5.2-inch QHD Super LCD 5 display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB storage option, and a microSD card slot. It also comes with a 12-Ultrapixel 2 camera with 4K video recording capabilities, 5-megapixel auto-focus selfie camera, fingerprint scanner, HTC BoomSound, and a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and USB Type-C port. On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under HTC Sense UI.
LG G5: The LG G5 was launched in India for Rs 52,990, but has since seen its price drop to Rs 47,990 on e-commerce sites. The semi-modular device comes with companion accessories the company calls 'LG Friends'. As for the specs, the LG G5 comes with a 5.3-inch QHD IPS display, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB onboard storage. There is a dual-camera setup at that back, which includes a 16-megapixel 78-degree lens and an 8-megapixel 135-degree wide-angle lens. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Other features include a fingerprint scanner at the back, and a removable 2,800mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, NFC and Bluetooth 4.2. On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 wrapped on top of LG’s custom UI.
