Oppo launched its AI-powered F7 flagship smartphone today in India. The Oppo F7 is priced at Rs 21,990 for the base model with 64GB internal storage. The 128GB version is priced at Rs 26,990. It adds to the list of selfie-centric smartphones. However, it also brings other top-of-the-line features.
Contrary to tradition, the Oppo F7 will be the company’s first smartphone to head for a flash sale on April 2, 2018 with a regular sale to take place on April 9, 2018. Before you consider a purchase, here’s a look at the defining features of the Oppo F7.
Display: The notch is really here to stay. The Oppo F7 also incorporates the notch in a 19:9 display aspect ratio. It is equipped with a 6.23-inch full HD+ display offering 2280×1080 pixel resolution.
Hardware: The Oppo F7 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB internal storage. It supports storage expansion up to 256GB via a microSD card. Fueling the smartphone is a 3,400mAh battery.
Camera: One of the defining features of the Oppo F7 is its camera. It is said to be the first smartphone to be equipped with a 25-megapixel Sony IMX 576 sensor at the front with AI Beauty 2.0 that delivers enhanced self-portraits. Sadly, there's no dual-camera setup at the rear, but the 16-megapixel camera supports AI features as well.
Google Assistant: Oppo F7 runs Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.0 layered above. There's built-in support for Google Assistant on the device. With Oreo running out-of-the-box, the Oppo F7 is one of the handfuls of new smartphones to run the latest OS.
Face Unlock: In addition to the traditional fingerprint sensor for authentication, the Oppo F7 also allows you to unlock or authenticate using your face.
