As we approach MWC 2018, there is a lot of excitement building towards what all phones will be launched, and how many of them will be getting Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 SoC. The newer chipset is said to be focused on AI and camera, thereby allowing manufacturers to introduce even more powerful smartphones.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is an octa-core chipset with four Cortex A75 cores and four Cortex A55 cores. According to Qualcomm, the new Kryo 385 custom CPU brings 25 percent improvement in performance and three percent advantage in battery life over its predecessor. The new chipset also includes new Adreno 630 visual processing subsystem with 30 percent graphics improvement for enhancing gaming experience. If the current stream of reports are anything to go by, we are going to see a lot of smartphones launched with the newer chipset as soon as next month. Right from Samsung Galaxy S9 to Xiaomi Mi MIX2s and Vivo xPlay 7, here’s a look at the top smartphones likely to be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest chipset.
Vivo Xplay 7: The only smartphone in the list to feature not only the newer Snapdragon 845 SoC, but also boast an under-display fingerprint sensor, massive 10GB RAM paired with 512GB storage, 4K OLED display, and dual cameras. With these rumored specifications, the Vivo Xplay 7 appears poised to take on rival flagships. However, it is unclear if it will be showcased at MWC 2018.
