Traditionally speaking, sending a greeting card or an eCard on February 14 would be a start, and then the next step would be to send chocolates and a bottle of wine. But times are a changing, and startups in India are coming up with crazy ideas to make it easy for couples to choose how they want to spend the Valentine’s weekend.

You can either choose to relax at home and let a professional chef make a romantic dinner for you, or choose to spice up your sex life by shopping for adult stuff.

Following are 10 apps, services or sites you should visit to make sure you have the perfect Valentine’s Day.

  • Uber: The cab aggregator has tied up with to offer couples fully paid trips to a dream destination. Uber doesn't mention the places but hints at destinations like Thailand, Udaipur, and Sri Lanka. On February 12 between 10:00AM and 12:00PM open the Uber app and select the MUSAFIR option. If you are one of the winner, you and your loved one will win a paid trip to a pre-determined destination.

  • Zoomcar: Zoomcar is conducting a contest wherein users can participate by sharing their romantic photos with captions. Winners will be announced on February 11, and will be entitled to rewards ranging from chocolates, flowers, makeover to a dinner date. Furthermore, the startup is also offering complimentary Valentine's Day vouchers for all subscribers who participate.

  • HoppingChef: If you would rather stay at home and enjoy an exotic meal, you should check out HoppingChef. As the name suggests, this startup will send over a professional chef to your home to cook you and your loved one a meal. This service is only available in Mumbai, and prices for the service starts from Rs 9,100 per person. The price tag includes the chef's service, all the ingredients, a server, bartender, and a cleaner.

  • Cookifi: Cookifi is a service similar to HoppingChef, but restricted to Bangalore. They may not offer the services of a professional chef, but promises trained cooks who are adept at cooking different cuisines. These cooks will prepare a meal for you while you have a relaxing time with your loved one.

  • UrbanClap: What guy doesn't enjoy a shave? So why not gift your partner a luxurious shaving experience? UrbanClap has tied up with a startup called Bombay Shaving Company. For Rs 799 the startup will come to your house to give your man a luxurious 60 minute shave. The Ultimate Grooming Experience can be booked between February 5 and 10. Men can also gift home salon services for their better halves.

  • Besharam: Speaking of spicing up your love life, why not buy some kinky stuff for yourself or your partner? Besharam has a large collection of adult stuff that can spice up your sex life. From kinky accessories, to role playing costumes, you can find it all on the website, and it also promises free shipping. There is also a contest going on the website, wherein liking Besharam's website on Facebook could win you Rs 5,000 worth of gift cards.
