Does this provide the ability for users to manually decide what action to take when a virus/malware is found (on a case by case basis) or does it handle this automatically?

I had installed an earlier trial version of Norton 360 v5 and found it wasnt possible to decide actions manually, which made it useless considering I work with script files that are treated as viruses by antivirus packages and setting each script/folder up as an exception was not feasible due to the large number of such files and folders.

I think as windows and mse creator is microsoft they go an extra mile to optimise the security to the deepest level and still giving the pc speed with regular updates..

Personally, I would rather recommend Norton Internet Security 2012, instead of 360 because the back up and PC Tune up tools are not very appealing and there are better free or cheaper alternatives.

MSE doesn't provide protection in complete totality ,with less no. of features and settings for user to keep functions according to there preference .Norton 360 is a complete suit but price is unjustified in comparison to other securities .

What was the CPU and Memory usage during load and updates? Did you try backup and restore to a un-formatted drive and see if it aligns 4k- and to a Solid-State drive. I am curious to know how these do. This stores the backup online- so the free online backup is for how many years? What's the privacy policy for using online storafe backups?

To be honest, I don't see any reason why not just get windows security essentials for free (for Windows users). There are always those external storage drives with backup option.
