Apple ‘deeply offended’ by BBC’s revelations of exhausted and unhostile working environment at its supply chains

Apple has issued official statements addressing the recent investigative report by BBC’s Panorama program which documented various instances where suppliers of Apple products violated company’s own standards. Senior Apple executive Jeff Williams said that he and Apple chief executive Tim Cook were "deeply offended by the suggestion that Apple would break a promise to the workers in our supply chain or mislead our customers in any way". Former Apple executive Paul Devine sentenced to 1 year in prison for revealing company’s secrets and money laundering

An ex-Apple supply manager has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison after he pleaded guilty to wire fraud, conspiracy, revealing company's secrets, and money laundering. First reported by 9to5Mac, Paul S. Devine admitted that he defrauded the company in February 2007, and also to taking payoffs from Apple suppliers in Singapore.
