RIM announces upcoming gaming titles for its PlayBook and BlackBerry 10 devices

BlackBerry smartphone maker RIM has revealed which all gaming titles are in the pipeline for its PlayBook tablet and for its upcoming BlackBerry 10 devices. After Angry Birds Space, the second most anticipated title which has made its way to the PlayBook is the Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. These announcements have come from RIM'S Head of Gaming, Anders Jeppson, who revealed these upcoming titles on Twitter. Some pretty big names in mobile gaming are getting set to launch popular titles such as Halfbrick with Jetpack Joyride along with 4 others, SEGA with Sonic 4, Unity with Smashcops, GlitchSoft with Star Marine and Fishlabs with Galaxy on Fire 2. RIM has 2 tablets lined up for 2012: Report

The boys from N4BB.Com are reporting that Research in Motion (RIM) is going to pull all the stops in 2012 to revive is struggling BlackBerry brand. RIM is planning multiple device launches in 2012 including a 10-inch PlayBook in December, a new 7-inch PlayBook in April, a new BlackBerry 10 smartphone in September, and two new models in its budget Curve series, according to a product roadmap the site has accessed. Apart from these devices RIM will launch the next generation PlayBook 2.0 software in late February, its Mobile Fusion in April and a PlayBook Admin service in the summer of 2012. Additionally the new 10-inch PlayBook will also boast of an LTE chipset, alongside the new BlackBerry 10 smartphone. The new 7-inch PlayBook, however, will not have LTE connectivity. More →
