“Some have been surprised at the lack of inclusion of Flash Player on a recent magical device.” These were the words of Kevin Lynch, Adobe’s CTO in a blog post defending Flash after Apple decided to banish it from its iOS devices. Today Adobe announced that Lynch has quit the company to join Apple. Apple has announced a major shake up in its top management that will see it Senior Vice President for iOS, Scott Forstall and head of retail John Browett leaving the company. Forstall will leave Apple in 2013 and will work as an advisor to CEO Tim Cook till then. It seems that the maps fiasco for which Cook had to apologize to users and provide alternative solutions did it for Forstall, though that just our guess. Bob Mansfield, Apple’s chief of hardware, is retiring, Apple announced via a press release moments ago. Mansfield, who has been Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering, has led the company’s Mac hardware engineering since 2005, iPhone and iPod hardware engineering since 2010 and iPad’s hardware engineering since its inception.
