BSNL and Pantel have launched a new Android tablet in the Indian market called the Penta T-Pad IS7O1C for Rs 4,999. The device will have a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 6 hours of battery backup, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 0.3 megapixel camera, microSD card slot and a USB 2.0 and microUSB port. TRAI issues directions to counter misleading tariff ads by operators

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a direction to prevent misleading tariff advertisements by network operators. BSNL launches its own Apps store

State-owned telecom operator BSNL has launched its Apps Store in India. Its subscribers can now download various apps by visiting BSNL Live first and then launching the BSNL Apps Store from their handsets. We don’t have the exact number of apps available on the store for now but the carrier has assured that its subscribers will find numerous apps piled under different categories.
