Over the last few years Samsung’s Galaxy line of products have become viable competitors to Apple’s iPhone. The Galaxy S III became the bestselling Android smartphone of all time, but the iPhone 5 swooped and still managed to come out on top. Apple’s so called iRadio service could be delayed: NYT

The moment Apple announced iCloud and its iTunes Match service last year, it was a given that it would end up venturing in a music streaming service of its own. Apple has fired Richard Williamson who oversaw the iOS 6 Maps team in the wake of the iPhone 5 mapping fiasco if a report by Bloomberg is to be believed. According to the report Apple’s Senior VP Eddy Cue who took charge of the Maps and Siri teams last month after the firing of Scott Forstall pushed out Williamson. As Apple prepares to launch the iPhone 5 in India later today, Airtel has announced postpaid plans for Apple’s latest and greatest smartphone. With its new plans Airtel is basically offering iPhone 5 users a 50 percent discount on their monthly usage. Apple’s partners have announced today that the iPhone 5 will be available in India on November 2 just like BGR India exclusively reported earlier this week. One of the biggest problems at the moment with using the iPhone 5 in India is the non-availability of Nano-SIMs. BGR India had exclusively reported earlier that major Indian carriers had already placed orders for Nano-SIMs but they would be widely available only when the iPhone 5 is officially launched in India.
