Rumors are rife that Apple is working on an affordable variant of the iPhone. And even though CEO Tim Cook has denied any such iPhone under production, another set of alleged pictures of an affordable iPhone has added fuel to this rumor. The gsmarena tripped over some images on Chinese social network Sina Weibo and is reporting about these purported pictures of entry level iPhone, which unlike its predecessors dons a glossy polycarbonate body as being reported earlier. Vyclone, the start-up behind popular cloud based social video editing apps for iOS and Android has revealed that it is launching a web-based browser centric video editor. The company has partnered with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and while the service works just perfectly with any browser IE will have the extra benefit of pinch-to-zoom gestures. (more…)Google+

An image of an early iPhone prototype has surfaced on the web courtesy Ars Technica which suggests that Apple contemplated building a large ‘Phablet’ like device before the original iPhone was announced in 2007. Google has released an app called YouTube Capture for the iPhone and the iPod touch. It is essentially a video capturing app that allows the user to capture and edit videos on the fly and share them with Facebook, Twitter, Google+ after they have been uploaded to YouTube. (more…)Google+

Apple’s iPad mini might be the best selling iPad this quarter but one thing that most reviewers and users point out is its display resolution. Unlike most devices, the iPad mini does not have a Retina Display and for some that is the deal breaker for an otherwise killer product. Yahoo has released its India year in review for the top online trends of the 2012. As far as technology trends were concerned, Apple’s iPhone 5 and iPad mini took the top spots, while Google’s jaw dropping Glass project took second place followed by the controversial Facebook IPO and Facebook’s takeover of Instagram. Rovio, the creators of popular franchise Angry Birds is entering the movie space with an Angry Birds movie scheduled for release in 2016. The Finnish company has already taken Angry Birds from an iPhone game to merchandise, amusement parks, animations and books.
