Google’s employee number 20 and the first female employee, Marissa Mayer, has quit Google to join Yahoo as its latest CEO and president. Mayer resigned from Google today via telephone and joins Yahoo tomorrow, indicating she was already in a transition period. She was approached by Yahoo in June for the top job, NYT reports.
