Microsoft has released a major update for its Outlook.com app for Android devices that flaunts a new user interface along with a number of feature additions to bring it at par with Windows 8 and web versions. With this update, the app sheds the old look to feature a cleaner, better arranged, user friendly interface, and carries several new features including more interactive thread-based conversations, adds filters for unread and flagged mails, and the ability to mark messages as junk. Microsoft has revealed via Twitter it has over 1 million registered users for its just-announced Outlook.com email service. A preview for the revamped webmail service, which will phase out Hotmail was announced less than 12 hours ago.
