Mozilla has updated its Firefox web browser, bolstering privacy controls on the browser by leaps and bounds. Users can now open a new private browsing window with an existing browsing session, so the user need not close an existing window. This also holds true for the Android version of the web browser. Mozilla has announced that its popular Firefox browser is getting a social API that has the Facebook Messenger for Firefox now baked in to the browser. Users will need to manually enable this feature. This is an important integration considering users spend 20 percent of their time on social website and Facebook is the biggest social network of them all. (more…)Google+

A couple of days ago Mozilla teased a preview of revamped version of its Firefox browser for Android and today it has officially released the browser on the Google Play market. Mozilla is promising a significant performance boost in the new Firefox browser for Android with it claiming Firefox leading the browser pack in the SunSpider benchmark. (more…)Google+

Ever since Microsoft announced a version of Windows 8 on ARM architecture (Windows RT), there has been a lot of confusion over the two separate desktop and metro environments. Weirdly, the two environments even have two different versions of Internet Explorer. Ever since it was launched Google Chrome has been chipping away on the dominant marketshare of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer which comes pre-loaded with Windows. Mozilla is all set to announce its first device, rumored to be made by LG, based on its upcoming open operating system called Boot to Gecko (B2G) at the MWC.
