Nokia today launched a Mail for Exchange client for its Asha touch phones. The service currently supports the Asha 308, Asha 309, Asha 310 and Asha 311 models. It does not seem to support the recently announced Asha 501 but hopefully it should once the phone is launched next month. (more…)Google+

Nokia’s Lumia volumes might have increased by 27 percent sequentially to 5.6 million units in Q1 2013, what shocked the most is the steep decline in full-touch Asha shipments, which were almost halved sequentially to just 5 million units. We recently reported about Nokia’s plans to launch phones in the cheaper-end of the market at the Mobile World Congress to counter stiff competition from other mobile companies. At that time it wasn’t clear which phones or at what price range would the Finnish company launch these phones. But now the folks at @eveleaks have uncovered what could be the answer to the above mystery. Nokia has launched the Asha 200, the Asha 300 and the X2-02 feature phones in India. As expected, this Series 40 trio will come with a three-month subscription of the Music Unlimited service which allows you to download DRM-free songs from Nokia’s Music Store.
