Nokia Music, which so far has been available only on Nokia’s devices, is finally available for every Windows 8 and Windows RT device. The app is now available from Microsoft’s Store for free and brings unlimited music streaming from one of the most exhaustive music catalogs available after iTunes. (more…)Google+

Nokia today announced a tie-up with Idea to bring carrier billing for its music and app stores. The announcement comes a few days after Nokia partnered with Vodafone for carrier billing for its Music store. Currently Vodafone and Idea are the only carrier partners that offer carrier billing for the Music store. Airtel, Reliance, Idea and Vodafone offer carrier billing for Nokia’s app store. Nokia has partnered with Vodafone to introduce an integrated billing solution for the Nokia Music store. The Nokia Music store is available on a number of Nokia devices including the newly launched Asha series and a number of feature phones. Nokia has finally launched its Music Store and the Mix Radio app for its Lumia devices. Until now, the Mix Radio app was available for Lumia devices in other countries but India as Nokia was tied up negotiating licensing deals with Indian music labels for Mix Radio, which is different from the Music Store. Nokia’s Music Store will now offer DRM-free music, which essentially means users will now be able to play songs downloaded from the store on multiple devices without any limitations.
